About the Hangeul Category

  • Participants in this category are asked to represent their language using mainly the modern Hangeul writing system.
'Modern Hangeul' here refers to the current script, consisting of 24 letters in total: 14 basic consonants and 10 basic vowels. If it is difficult to fully represent the sounds of a language using modern Hangeul, participants may use old Hunmin Jeongeum letters or Nuri Hangeul style rules to achieve a more accurate representation. However, they should not create arbitrary rules that contradict the fundamental principles of Hunmin Jeongeum or Nuri Hangeul and should adhere to the current Korean writing system as closely as possible.
With that in mind, feel free to express stories about your culture using Hangeul.

  • Add subtitles in three lines as follows, matching the audio:
  • All voices used in the video must be recorded by the participant(s). The use of AI-generated voices is NOT permitted. If you use AI or the work of others for background music or images, be sure to cite the sources as accurately as possible.
  • If YouTube is not available in your country, you may register a link to another video platform available in your country. However, please make sure that the video is set to public.

    - Write down the story you recorded using the commonly used script for your language.

Line 2 (Hangeul transcription of the original language)
